Japanese Release of Han Geng’s Album “Geng Xin” Receiving Praise as the Most Anticipated
as the most anticipated foreign album of 2011
Han Geng’s first solo album “Geng Xin”, which was released in July 2010, has created a sales record of more than 530,000 albums across the whole of Asia. After Japanese fans have waited painstakingly for 9 months, “Geng Xin” recently landed at various major Japanese music stores, once again causing an upsurge in sales, it has also been acclaimed by the Japanese media as the most anticipated foreign album for this year.
On 27 July 2010, Han Geng released his first solo album “Geng Xin”. In this album not only is there the title song “My Logo” that was created in the USA, there are even jazz and ballad song styles that Han Geng has never tried before. This album has been produced by a magnificent multinational team, as soon as it was released it was successful, across the whole of Asia the Chinese version created a sales record of more than 530,000 albums and swept each major sales charts.
After Japanese fans have waited painstakingly for 9 months, “Geng Xin” has successfully been released in Japan, which has also made this album meet with its second wave of panic buying. In the album released in Japan, not only are there all the songs from “Geng Xin”, there are also matching Japanese translations, the 3 MVs of “Fire”, “Holding an Umbrella” and “Say No” are also included, at the same time there is even a limited edition poster as a gift. The cover and packaging of the Japanese version of “Geng Xin” continues the Chinese version’s clean newborn feeling, which has followed through with Han Geng’s meaning of starting out again. For Han Geng’s Japanese fans, they are naturally full of anticipation after waiting for this album for 9 long months.

[110505] LEETEUK REPRESENTS KOREAN WAVE IDOLS IN AN INTERVIEW WITH 'NEWS DESK', 'POPULARITY SEEMS REAL NOW
On May 4, MBC 'News Desk' had shed some light about the breakthrough success of the Korean wave starting from South America to Europe.
Today, 'News Desk' showed how French Fans of Korean Idol singers who weren't able to get tickets for the first *local concert grabbed the attention of many people with their demonstration.
One local fan said "I was disappointed that there wasn't enough time to buy the ticket. I hope there will be another show."
This day, Super Junior's Leeteuk was interviewed to represent Korean Wave Idol Singers, he said "I've always thought of football when it's about South America, however, seeing the UCC and people dancing to our choreography I realized, 'Ah, so we are becoming more popular.'

French fans demand extension of sold-out Korean pop concer
Hundreds of French fans rallied in front of the Louvre Museum in Paris on Sunday to demand an extension of a Korean pop concert after tickets for the event sold out in 15 minutes.
Some 300 young people picketed while dancing to Korean pop tunes for over an hour, demanding that the concert scheduled for June 10 be extended by one day.
Korean pop culture, known as "Hallyu," or the Korean Wave, has been gaining worldwide popularity in recent years. Girls'
Generation, Super Junior, SHINee and other top groups managed by the agency S.M. Entertainment are scheduled to perform.
Fans at the rally claimed some people had already begun to scalp tickets after hoarding hundreds of them when they went on sale online on April 26.
Calls to S.M. Entertainment's office in Seoul seeking comment went unanswered on Monday morning.

SM Entertainment confirms one more concert for “SM Town Live in Paris”
The efforts of European fans have finally paid off, as SM Entertainment revealed that they will indeed be adding one more concert date for “SM Town Live in Paris“.
“SM Town Live in Paris” will be held for two days at the Le Zenith de Paris on June 10th and 11th. The decision was largely influenced by the fact that the first concert sold out within 15 minutes.
As previously reported, 300 upset fans took to the streets of Paris for a flash mob event that caught the attention of Korean media outlets.
SME representatives stated, “TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, and other artists who represent SM’s global power will be performing an additional show in Paris. Through the concerts, we hope to help foster the K-Pop wave in Europe.”
Tickets for this second concert will go on sale starting May 16th through Live Nation and FNAC Spectacles and are expected to be sold out on that day.
